About the founder
More than a tattoo studio.
I founded Aura Tattoo & Meaning to be far more than a tattoo studio. I wanted a different kind of space, where the art of tattooing meets beauty, meaning, and well-being, and where everyone feels welcomed, heard, and at ease. Light, plants, and calm, carefully considered details shape that feeling from the moment you arrive. For me, every tattoo tells a story, so the space it is created in matters as much as the work itself. Today, Aura reflects that vision: a place full of warmth and good energy, where you can take your time, feel like yourself, and give meaning to your project.

Common questions.
You'll be welcomed with tea on arrival (coffee and water are available too), time to settle, and a clear plan before we start. Your appointment includes full professional setup and hygiene, stencil and placement checks, tattooing at a steady pace with breaks when you need them, and detailed aftercare guidance - what to use, what to avoid, and how to care for the piece at home.
We work in manageable stretches and pause for water, snacks, or a breather whenever you like. Sensation varies by area and by person; we'll check in as we go so we can adjust pace or position. Smaller pieces may finish in one visit; larger work is usually mapped across multiple sessions - your quote and booking notes spell out the plan.
Sleep well the night before, eat a solid meal about two hours ahead, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Bring ID, wear or pack loose clothing that exposes the tattoo area easily, and charge your phone if you'll want it during longer sits.
The surface usually settles in 2-3 weeks; the skin fully settles over roughly 3 months. Before you leave we walk through aftercare in person and give you instructions to follow at home. Message us through your usual booking channel if something during healing doesn't look right.
Send reference images, placements, and styles you like when you book. We'll translate that into a custom piece that fits your body - redrawn, not copied. We'll confirm the stencil on the day and only start once you're happy with placement.
We assess cover-ups case by case. Send a clear photo of the existing tattoo and your idea when you book. We'll be straightforward about sizing, realism, and how many sessions it may need.
Please give us at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your session. We'll do our best to offer a new date subject to availability. Consultations are always free and carry no obligation.
We only tattoo clients aged 18 and over - bring valid photo ID to your appointment. Consultations, design chats, studio communication, and aftercare instructions are available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French - whichever suits you.
